Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 4million plus Australians living with disabilities along with their caregivers and families, requiring support the NDIS has made further efforts ensuring the ease and accessibility of accessing services.
With this latest update, the NDIS eligibility material, as well as other paperwork has been made available online. Amongst these resources, the Access Request Form (ARF) has been uploaded to the website for people who think they might be eligible for NDIS services.
Following this, if the NDIA requires supporting information for a person requesting access to NDIS services and platforms, the Supporting Evidence Form (SEF) can also be downloaded from the same website. People requesting the support, their families and caregivers can get in touch with their general practitioners, or other medical professionals to compile the information needed for the NDIA.
People who might think they are eligible for the NDIS services and funding may:
1- Call 1800 800 110 to verbally request access2- Filling out the downloadable Access Request Form (ARF) and emailing to the NDIA with supporting information3- Printing out and filling out the downloadable Access Request Form (ARF), and mailing to the NDIA with supporting information4- Emailing NAT@ndis.gov.au and asking for an Access Request Form to be mailed to them5- Contacting your local NDIA office and asking for an Access Request Form to be mailed to them Local NDIA and Partners in the Community Staff are also available to help you apply.
